UAE: Workers win car, flight tickets, mobile phones during Eid Al Fitr celebration

For Rubel Ahmed Samsad Ali, there will always be something special about this Eid Al Fitr after he won a new car in an event held to celebrate the labourers who form the backbone of the country.
Organized for over 100000 workers who contributed to the country and its growth and development. Rubel's victory — a highlight of the event — represented the recognition of the UAE for the workers who have dedicated their efforts to building the state's development.
Together with its partners in federal and local governments, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) organised social and recreational activities to celebrate Eid Al Fitr with workers at 10 sites across the UAE.
On the second day of Eid, Rubel participated in the special draw of a Nissan Sunny car. Rubel beamed with joy during the presentation of the car on the stage by senior officials and then parked himself in front of the cameras in front of his new vehicle.
Spanning from 12pm to 6pm, the first and second days of Eid witnessed numerous sports and entertainment activities, competition and winning opportunities such as e-scooters, mobile phones and airline tickets.
More than 1,000 gifts were also handed out to workers at several locations around the Emirates including Musaffah, Al Mafraq in Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali in Dubai, Al Sajaa in Sharjah, Al Jurf in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, RAKIZ in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hail Industrial in Fujairah, and the Dulsco Labour Village.
These activities are meant to safeguard and promote happiness, quality of life, and well-being of the workforce who features prominently in any nation striving to develop sustainably.
Mohre officials and its partners performed Eid prayers with workers at venues across the country, exchanging Eid greetings with them on the occasion.
