UAE President Thanks Expats and Citizens on National Day
Sheikh Mohamed, President of the UAE, on Monday sent a sincere handwritten message to the expatriates and the citizens of the country on the occasion of National Day.
Sending out a personal message on X, Sheikh Mohamed said: "We are proud of UAE and its people on the occasion of Eid Al Etihad. To the people of the UAE, Eid Al Etihad is a time for celebration."
“In the previous month, the committee that is responsible for the celebration planning noted that the day has been officially named ”Eid Al Etihad And the name of this event – Eid Al Neelan.
Sheikh Mohamed, in the letter, was appreciative as he stated, “I am grateful for your determination and your efforts and all that you do for this nation.”
Thus the name reinforces the theme of “union” which is Etihad and depicts the date when the Emirates were unified on December 2nd 1971. This theme is important to the “Khaliji nation, representing culture, unity, power and nationalism.”
The official ceremony will be held “in the ecologically rich areas of Al Ain, which is loved by the citizens of the UAE,” the committee said. The national day holiday 2024 will be held on December 2, and the people of the UAE will be able to see the national holiday celebrations live on television, selected places and in battlegrounds.
