UAE-India travel: Akasa Air launches daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Bengaluru, Ahmedabad

Akasa Air now operates daily direct flights from Bengaluru and Mumbai to Abu Dhabi while maintaining its existing daily route between Mumbai and the UAE capital.

The strategic expansion decision stems from both the successful first impressions of the Mumbai-Abu Dhabi route and the rising travel demand to the UAE from across India.

The daily flight to Bengaluru leaves at 10am and lands in Abu Dhabi at 12: The return flight departs at 3am and reaches the Indian city at 08:45 am local time.

Daily flights to Ahmedabad leave at 22: The flight departs at 22:45 pm and reaches Abu Dhabi at 1am with the return flight taking off at 14:50 pm and arriving back in the Indian city at 19:25 pm local time.

Akasa Air operates flights to 22 cities within India and five international destinations including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, Gwalior, Srinagar, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur and international cities such as Doha in Qatar, Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi in UAE and Kuwait City in Kuwait.

The airline began its first commercial flight on August 7, 2022 to meet India's increasing travel needs before starting international routes on March 28 2024 with direct flights from Mumbai to Doha.
