The Fujairah government has declared a salary increase of 20 per cent for its government employees.


A resolution from Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi who serves as Supreme Council Member and Fujairah's Ruler will become active on February 1.The most recent resolution demonstrates Sheikh Hamad's dedication to maintaining employment security that results in improved functioning of local institutions.


The Fujairah Government's new initiative supports employees financially which reduces their economic pressures and guarantees them a respectable lifestyle together with their families.


A recent survey discovered that 74 percent of UAE employees anticipate salary increases by 2025.The GCC Salary Guide 2025 from Hays reveals that 48 per cent of employees received salary increases in 2024 within the range of 2.5 per cent to 5 per cent.


Three-quarters of UAE nationals think their salary will rise in 2025 while the remaining 28 percent believe their salary will stay the same. UAE nationals received more consistent salary increases than their Gulf counterparts but experienced higher increase amounts.

Findings from a separate report show that men in the region receive a larger share of bonuses and financial incentives than women.
This year professionals in high-growth areas including artificial intelligence (AI), data science and cybersecurity will experience significant salary growth.

Recruitment specialists predict high demand for AI, cybersecurity, renewable energy and e-commerce positions in the UAE market by 2025 despite existing talent availability. Advanced technologies and industries form the foundation of this country-driven trend.
