Special UAE coin with image of Sheikh Mohamed now available for Dh650
Calling all coin collectors — and anyone who wants to keep a unique UAE memorabilia: The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) released a silver coin featuring President Sheikh Mohamed's image to honor its 50th anniversary on Wednesday.
The special silver coin shows what the CBUAE did to build the banking and financial sector of the United Arab Emirates during its first 50 years.
The CBUAE distributed 3000 silver coins with each piece weighing 60 grams. The design places Sheikh Mohamed's portrait at center with his Arabic name and title 'President of the United Arab Emirates'.
The opposite side of the coin shows the CBUAE headquarters and includes '50 Years of the Central Bank of the UAE' written in Arabic and English along with the building depiction, years 1973-2023, and currency value of Dh50.
