Sharjah announces extended paid public parking hours during Ramadan

The municipality of Sharjah declared extended paid parking hours throughout Ramadan beginning Monday. The Sharjah City Municipality has announced that daily public parking fees will be in effect from 8am through midnight.
Every day neighbourhood parks remain accessible between 4pm and midnight while Al Seyouh Family Park, Al Seyouh Ladies Park, Sharjah National Park and Al Rolla Park will stay open until 1am according to the authority.
The municipality announced its preparedness for the holy month by initiating extensive plans to closely inspect food establishments. The city has allocated 380 inspectors to monitor food businesses while working to address harmful practices and remove visual disruptions.
The municipality began issuing permits to establishments that want to organize activities during Ramadan.
The authority announced on February 17 that restaurants may now apply for permits to prepare and show food throughout the holy month. The authority delineated different application methods for establishments.
The municipality opened applications for late-night businesses to operate past midnight during Ramadan just a few days later. Astronomical calculations suggest the Islamic holy month will start on Saturday March 1 and is expected to last 30 days.
