A Dubai driver was detained after returning from speed chasing competitors in excess of 220kmph as he sped on Sheik Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), police have said in a post released to the public on Thursday.
They also pointed out the fact that reckless driving was a serious problem in such a person since he increased above and beyond the acceptable speed limits and placed lives at risk.
Along with this the motorist was also contrarily fined Dh50,000 as the vehicle was impounded, the Dubai Police said.
In a clip of a movie police of Dubai has released there is a scene when a car was racing at a speed of 220kmph on Sheik Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. In this video footage the dashboard of the vehicle is reported with super maximum speed period, speed meter working as well.
