Digital Dubai and the Department of Finance (DoF) have announced that Tabby has been successfully integrated into DubaiPay, the Dubai Government's digital payment hub for government services.
This step provides the deferred payment services to citizens, residents and visitors with round-the-clock availability to settle payments in instalments.
Users can benefit from more financial flexibility with Tabby added as one of the main payment options available on DubaiPay such as credit cards, direct debit, smart wallets, and Apple Pay. The move is also part of Dubai's drive to become a digital transformation and a global financial and digital hub.
This synergy serves to bolster Dubai's Cashless Strategy as well as the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the preferred destination for business and investment in Dubai, according to Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director-General of the Department of Finance. He emphasized that the initiative helps bolster Dubai's digital financial infrastructure.

Matar Al Hemeiri, CEO of Digital Dubai Government Establishment, noted that allowing private sector service providers to plug in their solutions to DubaiPay creates a level of trust that drives and expands digital uptake.
In a report by the Department of Finance, Ahmad Ali Meftah, Director, General Accounting at the department, said, "Deferred payments help to provide immediate financial relief as well as a funding solution that provides greater flexibility to firms and business ledgers and cash flow, such as small and medium enterprises, with limited sources of financing, as well as facilitating the gradual easing of the financial burdens.
