Dubai’s flag carrier Emirates is rescheduling some US flights because of a winter storm.

The largest international airline in the world cancelled its flights EK211 on January 21 from Dubai to Houston and EK212 from Houston to Dubai on January 22 "because of extreme weather".

Hundreds of flights in and out of the US were delayed and cancelled due to the winter storm that destabilised many US cities and states including New York, Philadelphia, Texas and others.

"Protected customers who made their booking through travel agencies should contact them for another travel. Those customers who booked directly with Emirates can call their office to rebook," the Dubai airline said.

Emirates also advised passengers to follow up with the flight updates on their page in flight status.

"We are very sorry that our customers have been inconvenienced," the airline wrote. As of the time this report was written, Etihad Airways has not yet commented.
