UAE: New mental health podcast to 'tear away silence' on stigma
The live streaming episodes will begin shooting later in the month. Fans can expect an interactive experience, where part of the filming includes people’s live reactions, as well as their involvement in other on-air segments.
There is an upcoming launch of a new mental wellbeing podcast in the UAE that will serve as an excellent tool to create awareness, combat mental health stigma, and promote welfare.
This initiative’s objective is to create a culture of discussion and provide expert views to the mental health sector in this region in order to help foster an environment that is psychologically safe.
‘The mental space’ is an advocacy of the platform ‘mental’ in collaboration with Viatris Middle East. Platform ‘mental’ is the UAE-based advocacy that mixes making digital content and researching with live experiences and events.
For this World Mental Health Day, both organizations have decided to work together to create awareness about the issue of mental health around the world.
In this way, they seek to draw attention to the mental health aspect encouraging people to speak out and provide the necessary assistance to those who may need it with the view of creating a better society for all.
The project called ‘Tear away the silence’ offers filmed podcast episodes of expert and advocate opinions. These episodes will cover various areas where the issues of mental wellness occur as well as the personal problems men face. These are:

Mental health and wellbeing in the workplace
Listeners will be pleased that the next episodes will be shot live beginning production later this month. They may also look forward to amusement from the episodes on popular platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple podcasts, and Google Podcast already in place as the Chernobyl episodes.
Such a provision ensures that the audience is able to easily reach the series of topics and discussions which are contained in the series.
