UAE Catholic churches to hold special prayer for late Pope Francis

Based on the Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia (Avosa) information, Bishop Paolo Martinelli OFM Cap, invited catholic churches in the UAE to celebrate the Holy Mass for the late Pope Francis and “encourage all faithful to join in the mass for our beloved Pope Francis in their respective parishes.” 

“The People of God in the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia will always remain grateful for his great service to the Church. We all especially the people in the UAE are greatly saddened by the death of Pope Francis, and we remember him with gratitude because of his visit to, Abu Dhabi in, 2019,” the Italian bishop wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.

“May the Lord receive Pope Francis into heavenly abode and grant him eternal peace,” Martinelli said further prepared earlier. 

Avosa has not received the exact dates for the special masses, all the same most Catholic churches have daily masses at 7pm, St Mays’ Catholic Church in Oud Metha, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Jebel Ali, and St Michael’s Church in Sharjah.
