Dubai Emirates crowned World Best Airline for 2024
The study consisted of 90 airlines and the scoring method was thus, points were awarded to each carrier that performed in any of the over 30 key principles that were analyzed. In this particular study done by Telegraph Travel, the airline Emirates which is based in Dubai was declared the best airline in the world leaving behind as many as 90 competitors worldwide.
The airlines were drawn from the carried annual traffic and scores were given based on the carrier’s performance across the 30 principles outlined by the key barriers.
Such criteria assess the airline’s performance in terms of connecting flights offered, maintenance of schedule, implementation of regulations, quality of service, fleet age, the airport used as a base, worth of the loyalty programs offered, the airline’s operational and safety standards, customer satisfaction and others specialized in this area Apex rating, Airline Ratings, Skytrax, and TrustPilot.
Telegraph Travel remarks that Emirates was a deserving beat in nearly all areas including allowances for baggage and the airlines punctuality and was said to be a ‘worthy winner’.
So far this year, the airline has received a total of 19 awards which includes one of the seven it won during the Skytrax World Airline Awards in June for World’s Best Airline Inflight Entertainment, Best First Class Airline Comfort Amenities, Best First Class Airline in the Middle East, Best First Class On-board Catering in the Middle East, Most Family Friendly Airline in the Middle East, Best Premium Economy Class Airline in the Middle East and Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East.
Moreover, the airline company earned the Best Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity Middle East at the Pax International Awards owing to its’ Wi-Fi connections and ice which has more than 6500 channels of content.
Likewise, in the Business Traveller Middle East Awards, the airline was awarded Best Airline in the World, Best Airline, Premium Economy Class, Best First Class Airline, Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East and Best Frequent Flyer Programme.
Also, in May, at the World Travel Awards, Emirates was awarded Middle East's Leading Airline 2024, Middle East's Leading Airline – First Class 2024 and Middle East’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme 2024.
History repeated itself in May 2024 when some representatives of Emirates Skywards accepted the award Global Loyalty Programme of the Year Middle East at the International Loyalty Awards.The Dubai-based company also received Best-Inflight Entertainment and Best Premium Economy at the AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Awards.
