Abu Dhabi announces new app for all healthcare services
Patients can schedule and reschedule appointments as well as retrieve their medical records.
It is now possible for people living in Abu Dhabi to have an all-in-one application that allows them to access and handle every aspect of their healthcare in the region.
The city Department of Health has launched the application ‘Sehatona’ whose primary focus is to help any user to keep track of their health related needs in an easy way given the heterogeneity of services offered.
Within the app, users can schedule new or existing appointments as well as attend the office of the medical specialist in person or contact them through a teleconference. Additionally, they can also take care of the health needs of other people, including their relatives.
Malaffi is a tool for users to get access to medical records that include the tests performed, medication taken and immunization received. This platform is also associated with the files of family members.
Also, at the same time, participants of the Emirates Genome Programme will be able to find their genomic reports for the first time through the application, enabling them to make decisions related to their health or lifestyle according to their genetic code.
The announcement of the app was made during the event Gitex Global 2024.
Features
An online symptom checker has been developed in tandem with users so that customers do not have to physically present their symptoms while trying to get assistance. They can just key in their symptoms and the system tries to determine what diseases they may have and advises them on the possible severity of the symptoms This way, the user understands whether to go to a hospital emergency room or an urgent care centre.
Wise also includes supporting smartwatch connection that would help track sleep duration and physical activity level of users.
The application encourages users to maintain a healthy lifestyle by making available insight about achievable health care objectives in relation to users’ lifestyle and activities within their systems and the movement around them.
More features are going to be added into the system. These will include an advanced model supported by artificial intelligence to maintain a healthy body, and easy access to primary health care options and services of the comprehensive periodic examination programme ‘Efhes’.
Also, there will be new core improvement capabilities added which will be artificial intelligence based that will ease the usage of the application by responding to user queries.
