New Year Eve 2024 in UAE: 17 places to watch fireworks in Abu Dhabi, Dubai
Are you looking to celebrate the new year with rainbows in the air? And look no further because the UAE is home to a lot of places with amazing fireworks for when 12 rolls around.
Burj Khalifa is one of them. Everybody comes to Dubai to see the magic of the fireworks and laser show at the tallest building on Earth. Nor does it come cheap either: residents and visitors camp overnight around the 828-metre-tall structure for hours to watch the fireworks show.

Abu Dhabi
1. Abu Dhabi Corniche
And above the shining ocean there will be a spectacular sight of fireworks for the eye. The show will take place on the 8km-long corniche, which can be seen from many places like, 2023 MOTN Festival, Manar at Lulu Island, Corniche Beach.
2. Yas Island
It is a popular island known for adventure parks and slow-motion hotels and from here you can see all the fireworks that are being performed. You can admire it from Yas Bay Waterfront, Yas Marina, Yas Beach or Manar al Samaliya Island.
3. Tal Moreeb
All the campers sleeping under the stars will have a midnight fireworks show at the site of adventurers’ most famous festival, Liwa Festival. In addition to festival goers, residents and visitors can watch the show from all major commercial built ups in the area around Tal Moreeb dune, Liwa Festival and Liwa Village.
4. Al Hudayriyat Island
You can watch the fireworks on Al Hudayriyat Island on New Year's Eve from a sandbar, while drinking a cup of karak on a cold night, or while enjoying some chill time at Bab Al Nojoum.
5. Sheikh Zayed Festival (Al Wathba)
If you are camping at Al Wathba as a lot of people were, you could see the beautiful fireworks show from the Camping Village, the Heritage Village or the Majlis area.
6. Al Maryah Island
Do you have a hotel in one of the best hotels in Abu Dhabi? With many five-star hotels and lounges at Al Maryah Island, kick back, relax and watch the glitter show as you toast 2025.
7. Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain
If you are an Al Ain FC fan then how can you do not make 2025 in the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium – and there is ample parking on site. And the magic of fireworks would be sure to bring you an extra night.
8. Madinat Zayed Public Park
And, maybe if you fancy being in the woods, there’s a show of beautiful fireworks from Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra.
9. Mugheirah Bay Waterfront, Al Mirfa
Al Dhafra Beach or you can watch the fireworks while going shopping and chilling at Mugheirah Bay.
10. Ghiyathi
In this tiny little Al Dhafra town, both visitors and locals can watch the fireworks from Tamm Centre. Keep this place in mind, because if you were going to Western destinations on New Year’s Eve – it is the place to be.
Dubai
1. Burj Khalifa
This is the biggest show in the world and with an awesome 9-minute show this year it will be like no other!
After 110 or more experts in 11 nations join hands, 2024 will close while people marvel at a breathtaking exhibition – Beyond Dreams – with original songs and over 200 advanced beams of light.
A spectacular laser and light show is what attracts tourists from all over the world to the metropolis, but apart from the fireworks.
Those hoping to see the fabled show will find a few ways to attend: go to Dubai Mall and see the light and water of the Dubai Fountain combined with the laser, light and firework show at Burj Khalifa; or witness it from a restaurant in Downtown Dubai, Souk Al Bahar or Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard; or go with your family to Burj Park.
2. Al Seef
Retro glam meets futuristic, end your year at Al Seef – Dubai’s old town. You can see a great fireworks show, amidst the lovely building of the place and the old dhows.
3. Atlantis, The Palm
A star studded new year as Lionel Richie headlines at the iconic Dubai hotel. Grab a table at one of the hotel’s several restaurants or catch the fireworks from the boardwalk in front of it.
4. Arabian Gulf
If you don’t get to watch the show on land, how about on the sea? Find a spot in a special place and watch the fireworks from a yacht in the Arabian Gulf. Anyone wanting to rent one can request a private route that goes to all of the best fireworks viewing spots.
So if you want to do that, but without a hole in your wallet – book an abra or a ferry. A couple of routes go to Atlantis, The Palm and Al Seef too – and the fireworks show is magnificent.
5. The Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residence
It is one of the most visited tourist attraction in the city, where people can witness the spectacular display of fireworks on the beach of The Beach. A mere five minutes from big residential developments such as Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lakes Towers – visitors will be blown away by the beautiful lights and colourful atmosphere of midnight.
6. Bluewaters Island
Next to the display at The Beach will be the exhibit at Bluewaters Island. The three-minute show will blow everyone away because you’ll see performances simultaneously at Bluewaters Island and The Beach.
7. Global Village
And as the clock strikes 12 in each country, around the world, this cosmopolitan heaven will be lit up together. From 8pm, shows every hour from 8pm, the entertainment destination will tally 2025 for other countries – and UAE at last.
